The big Move to our 23ft home

This part of my story begins when I was living in New Jersey with my daughter, Amara and our dog, Atlas. We were loving the 8 acre plot of land I purchased and our 17th century home. However, the upkeep required to maintain the property and the renovations needed in the home were a big much for a single, Mother with limited resources. After a lot of prayer, tears and a big leap of faith, I make the decision to sell our beloved home and purchase an RV. This was a dream of mine for many years. I had been journaling about the experiences that I desired. I had been drawing images of me, Amara and Atlas and our RV with mountains in the background. I was fixated on this idea of traveling and meeting like-minded families around the world. During a phone call with my sister, she mentioned she had purchased an RV several years prior, and she was not using it like she had anticipated. I was scouring the internet for my ideal mobile home when my sister gave me the option to purchase hers! It was everything I was dreaming of. I reached out to my brother to ask for his support to make this RV into my self-sustainable home. I wanted the capability to “boondock” anywhere my heart desired. This required some major changes in the electrical system in my RV that my brother and sister’s boyfriend tackled!

We moved out of our home in New Jersey in August 2024, just prior to my 34th birthday. A double rainbow made an appearance at my sister’s house on my birthday and I accepted that as a good omen towards a bright and beautiful future. About 6 weeks after moving out of our home in NJ, our new home on wheels was ready to hit the road.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
